Designed for patients with osteoporotic bone with high risk of screw loosening, the L-REX Screw is an expandable pedicle screw for Lumbar spine fusion surgery. The expansion is designed to engage the cortical shell to provide better bone fixation to resist toggling which can result in non-union. The L-REX Screw is designed to be easy to use by maintaining a conventional surgical workflow with the addition of a single expansion step, where the surgeon simply presses a button on the screwdriver and turns to expand.
